Nosework

Karen Shivers was the co-writer and creator of the UKC Nosework program.  Texas K9 offers private lessons and our instructors are either actual investigators who train contraband K9’s, advanced title holders in civilian nosework, or both.  We call this type of program civilian nosework or scentwork since it is based on real world detection police K9’s but all the odors dogs are looking for are perfectly legal.  The odors used are essential oils and are Birch, Anise, Clove, Myrrh, Vetiver and Cypress.
